Norwich Synchro Club
Synchronised swimming (or 'synchro' for short) is a fun yet demanding sport which promotes fitness, strength, coordination, teamwork and self discipline but also artistic creativity and musical interpretation.
Synchro is suitable for strong swimmers of all genders from the age of 7 and is particularly good for children who love the water but want to do something more creative with their swimming.
Norwich Synchronised Swimming Club is a friendly club which competes regionally and nationally. We usually meet to train on Saturdays (at the Hewett Academy) and Tuesdays (at Hellesdon High School) but for now our Tuesday sessions are cancelled due to the current situation.
While we had to take a long break from training, we are now back in the pool but with some necessary changes to what we do. Currently we are following government and Swim England guidance and are socially distancing in and around the pool along with implementing other new safety procedures. While this means we cannot practice routines as we normally would we are doing everything we can to keep our figure and routine skills up while ensuring all of our swimmers and volunteers stay safe - and that we still have lots of fun of course!
Here are some photos of us in action at our Christmas display:
